All dogs must be registered in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. A dog tag must be attached to the dog's collar at all times. If you get a new dog please come into the Municipal Office to register your dog and to purchase a tag. It is your responsibility to notify the office if there is any change to your pet's information, you are moving out of the Municipality, or you no longer have a dog. You can view dog tag fees in the 2020 Fees By-Law.
Pay for your Dog Tags
If your dog is already registered with us, commencing January 2017 you received an invoice and a permanent dog tag in the mail. In 2018 and going forward, you will receive an invoice only. Should you require a replacement tag, they are available at the municipal office.
You are able to pay for your dog tags through your on-line banking. Please search Arran-Elderslie > GENERAL. Your account number is on your invoice. If you are having trouble setting your account up, it could be that your specific banking institution may require additional digits. Please add additional zeros to the FRONT of your account number for the system to accept it. Please DO NOT pay to Tax or Water & Sewer accounts. (Please also note anyone using ROYAL BANK will not have access to online payments as there is no GENERAL account available). You are also able to pay your dog tag by mail, drop box or by cash or debit at the Municipal Office.
