Zoning By-Law
The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie Zoning By-Law regulates land use within the Municipality. Zoning classifies properties into categories such as:
- residential
- commercial
- industrial
- institutional
- agricultural
Each of these categories has legally enforceable regulations attached to them such as:
- allowable size of a property
- location and size of buildings on the property
- number of parking spaces that must be provided
Requesting changes to the by-law
If your proposed project is now allowed according to the Zoning B-Law, you can request:
- Minor Variance- small changes
- Amendment- substantial changes
