Utility Billing

Water and Sewer Utility Billing

Users of the municipal water and/or sanitary sewer system located in Paisley, as well as select properties in Chesley and Tara, receive a water and sewer utility bill quarterly (four times per year).

Important Information

  • Residents are responsible for ensuring they receive and pay their bill on time.
  • Failure to pay by the due date may result in:
    • The outstanding balance being transferred to the property tax roll.
    • Penalty charges applied to the account.

To avoid penalties, please review your bill promptly and make payment by the stated due date.

Telephone and online banking payments can be made through most major financial institutions. You can also make in-person bill payments at most bank branches.

Use your 11 digit account number (your customer number) when setting up your water utility payment. Some banks require 15 digits- if your bank requires this, please fill in zeros at the beginning of your account number to fill in the 15 spaces.

Payments may be made in person at the Municipal Office using:

  • Cash
  • Cheque, made payable to 'Municipality of Arran-Elderslie'
  • Debit Card

Mail your cheque or post-dated cheque, along with payment stub to:

Municipality of Arran-Elderslie

P.O. Box 70

Chesley, ON

NOG 1L0

Please note that in the event of a postal strike, residents are still responsible to ensure payment is received on time. Alternative method of payment may need to be considered.

You can sign up for pre-authorized payments and the payment will be debited from your bank account on the bill due date.
