Treasure Chest Museum

Explore rooms filled with antique furniture, pioneer tools, early medical items, glassware, military memorabilia, sports displays, and farming equipment. With hands-on artifacts and rotating seasonal exhibits, there’s always something new to discover. Visitors especially enjoy the knowledgeable staff, personal tours, and unique pieces—from vintage tools to a classic Sears Wish Book.

Treasure Chest Museum Kids Program – Summer 2026
The Treasure Chest Museum Kids Program invites children ages 6 to 11 to step into the past with hands-on crafts, games, and stories inspired by local history. Each Wednesday features a new theme such as farming, folklore, or pioneer life, designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Spaces are limited to 10 participants per day, so be sure to register early. Admission is by donation. 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Agriculture and Homesteads – July 8th

Games of the Past – July 15th

experience the games that entertained children for generations! Learn the history behind classic pastimes then play them yourself! Cat’s Cradle, marbles, sack races, hide-and-seek, and more. A day of play that connects the past with the present!

Myths and Folklore – July 29th

Enter a world of wonder and imagination! Hear tales of local folklore, from fairies to hobgoblins. Then follow the clues they’ve left behind on an adventure through the museum!
Life 100 Years Ago – August 5th

Travel back in time to the early 1900s and discover what everyday life was like a century ago. Explore historic artifacts, dress up in period-inspired clothing, and create your own vintage-style postcard to take home as a souvenir from the past.
The Past, Present, and Future – August 12th

What would you tell someone living 50 years from now? Explore time capsules from the past, learn how they help us understand history, and create your own time capsule filled with memories, predictions, and messages for the future.
