NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

2026 Construction - Victoria St. S, Paisley

The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie Public Works Department is beginning to plan for construction on Victoria St between Mill Drive & Inkerman Street (Bruce Road 1) in Paisley in the summer or fall of 2026.

The project proposes the installation of new watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, sidewalk, and asphalt replacement. The road profile and parking in the area may change slightly and the sidewalk is proposed to only be installed on one side of the street.

A Public meeting will be held on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026, at the Paisley Community Centre (Upstairs Hall) at 6:00 pm. This pre-construction meeting will provide residents with an opportunity to view the proposed street design and  address any concerns residents may have with the project. The project will then go through tender process and may be awarded to a construction company for the work to be completed. It is possible that the project may not be completed in 2026 if no tenders are received, or the project comes in over budget.

This would also be a great opportunity for residents to notify the municipality about possible storm water or sump pump issues at your dwelling. The Municipality has implemented a bylaw to remove illegal connections such as sump pumps or eavestrough from the sewer system.
