Partial Open Air Burn Ban in Effect – Arran-Elderslie

Chesley, ON – Due to hot, dry weather and a high risk of fire, Arran-Elderslie Fire & Emergency Services has issued a partial open air burn ban, effective immediately. This ban will stay in place until conditions improve.

The ban includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Burning brush, wood, or yard waste
  • Burning old buildings or structures
  • Agricultural or industrial burning
  • Use of burn barrels
  • Fireworks and sparklers

All Open-Air Burn Permits are now suspended. No new permits will be issued.

What is Still Allowed:

  • Small, supervised campfires used for cooking or warmth in approved fire pits

Safety Reminder:
If you have a fire, always keep a shovel, water (bucket or hose), or a fire extinguisher nearby.
