Arran-Elderslie Mourns the Passing of former Councillor Doug Bell

Arran-Elderslie, ON: It is with deep sadness that the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie announces the passing of Douglas Bell, a dedicated member of Council for three terms and a long-time municipal staff member prior to his retirement in 2004.

Mr. Bell first took office as the Chesley Ward Councillor in 2010, serving three terms until 2022.

“Doug dedicated his life to serving the people of Chesley and Arran-Elderslie,” said Steve Hammell, Mayor of Arran-Elderslie. “He was passionate about healthcare, a committed volunteer, and he will be deeply missed.”

The flag at the municipal office has been lowered in his honour.
